Join the excursion as we travel through towering evergreens in search of tigers, brown bears, Eurasian eagle owls, otters, and more. COST: $10 per participating student. Registration Closed Homeschool Programs Knee-high Naturalist: Frogs and Toads @ 10:45–11:45am (ages 2–5 with an adult) This frog and toad class is going to be a hopping good time as we dive into the difference between the two groups and find out what all that croaking is about. Ring-tailed lemurs are easily recognized by their fox-like faces, rounded ears and banded or “ringed” black and white tails. As they walk from place to place, they hold their tail high as a visual signal that can be quite intimidating to other lemurs. When rivals meet, they wave their scent-smeared tails at each other to engage in what is known as “stink fighting.” Ring-tailed lemurs use specialized scent glands located on the inside of their arms to mark their territories.
